From February 17 to 19, 2023, the first ever Czech STAR Workshop took place at Tetřeví Boudy Krkonoše. This workshop was dedicated to new students of experimental particle physics in STAR collaboration. Ph.D. students and senior researchers from the STAR collaboration gave presentations on topics such as STAR infrastructure and detectors, useful software for data analysis and the future Electron-Ion Collider (EIC). The workshop also included practical hands-on sessions to help the starting researchers learn how to work on data analysis. Overall, this workshop was a great opportunity for younger students to meet other researchers from the STAR group, get advice from their experienced colleagues and discuss the options of their future work.
